LLP T.R.E.K. Program

As a culmination of Seng Kang’s LLP T.R.E.K. Program, 19 student leaders embarked on the 2025 Breakthrough Trek, conquering Hong Kong’s top four peaks — Dragon’s Back, Lantau Peak, Sunset Peak and Tai Mo Shan . They covered 35km and 20 hours of climbing in just three days, a powerful testament to the grit and resilience of Seng Kang Youths as they chart their next adventure.

SKSS is proud to announce that our students have achieved outstanding results in two national-level Chinese competitions.

In the National Create Your Own Newspaper Competition 2025 （全国中学编采比赛）, Tan Qiqi (3B), Tiffanie Tan Jin Xuan (3F), and Cefin Than Si Ying (3B) were awarded the Commendation Award in the Upper Secondary category(高年级：表扬奖)  for their creativity and teamwork in producing an impressive newspaper article on an antique shop in Chinatown.

Also, in the National Text Recital Competition （全国课文朗诵比赛）, Song Yachao (1-1) and Kineta Felicia Tan (1-5) earned the Bronze Award (铜奖) for their expressive and articulate performances.

2025 North Zone Schools Chinese Speech Competition

Gao Qi (1-7) has clinched the Potential Award (潜力奖) at the 2025 North Zone Schools Chinese Speech Competition! Her speech, themed “责任在心 未来同行” (“With Responsibility in Heart, Together Towards the Future”), impressed the judges and earned well-deserved recognition. Congratulations!

NUS Geography Challenge 2025

A first for SKSS, Andy, Amogh, John, and Wen Xin advanced to the semifinals of the annual NUS Geography Challenge with their impressive infographic on the urban renewal of Jurong Town. They also showcased their geographical skills in the GeoTrail, tackling challenges at various locations across Singapore.

Health & Food Science Competition 2024 (Runners-Up)

Our students finished runners-up amongst 21 other schools in the competition, where they designed nutritious dishes and health-focused games.

“Script It Right” Chinese Radio Drama Script Writing Competition 2024 与声剧来广播创作剧比赛 2024

Li Yi Ran (5-1) and Hong Jing Yi (4-6) won the Creativity Script Award (创意剧本奖) for their script 《向日葵》 in the 2024 "Script It Right" Chinese Radio Drama Script Writing Competition 与声剧来广播创作剧比赛 , which saw nearly 400 entries.

7th National Text Recital Competition 2024 全国课文朗诵比赛 2024 

We celebrate our Sec 1 students Cheng Zhi Ren, J’den (1-1), Goh Hui Jia (1-2), and Pua Jun Yang (1-2) for their stellar performance in the 7th National Text Recital Competition 全国课文朗诵比赛. Their hard work and dedication earned them a Bronze award.

Singapore Pledge Pen Calligraphy Competition 2024 新加坡“信约”硬笔书法比赛 2024

Congratulations to Yuan Xiao (2-6) for winning the Outstanding Award (优胜奖) at the Singapore Pledge Pen Calligraphy Competition (新加坡“信约”硬笔书法比赛)! 🖋️ With 80 schools participating and 1,148 entries submitted for this competition, this is indeed an incredible achievement！ 

North Zone Schools (Primary/Secondary) Chinese Speech Competition 2023

On 12 May Friday 2023, the annual North Zone Schools (Primary/Secondary) Chinese Speech Competition was held at Evergreen Primary whereby it was highly competitive with many schools taking part, such as Maris Stella High School, CHIJ St Nicholas Girls' School and Xinmin Secondary School.

Our school's student, Lok Zhi Jia Bernise from class 3-5 managed to clinch Second Placing with her strong effort and confident display of her story-telling. Chuah Yi Lin Elanna from class 1-2 was also given the Potential award.

Copyright School Challenge Video Competition 2022

We would like to congratulate our Media Club student, Heng Kai Ling, for emerging 1st, in the 2022 Copyright School Challenge Video Competition. The stop motion animation created illustrated how the public reacts to copyright infringement and individuals who associate themselves with others' originality.

Young Reporter News Challenge 2022

We are happy to share that our team of Chinese Language students who participated in the National News Reporting Competition organised by Mediacorp won both Best Reporter and Reporter News Awards categories on 30th July 2022. 

SYF Art Exhibition 2022

Heartiest congratulations to Lim Yu Xiang from class 3-8. His artwork has been selected for exhibition at the National Museum for this year's Singapore Youth Festival (SYF) Art Exhibition! 

Based on this year's theme of 'Artist and Sustainability', Lim Yu Xiang created works to bring awareness of how useful plastics can be in fashion. 

The exhibition is on at the National Museum from 13 -25 July.
