Student Support Programmes
Overview of Seng Kang Secondary School's Counselling and Education & Career Guidance (ECG) services.
School Counselling
School Counselling is an integral part of the Student Support programme at Seng Kang Secondary School.
Our school counsellors provide a safe and confidential space for students to talk through personal, social, and emotional concerns — whether it is friendship difficulties, family stress, or simply feeling overwhelmed. Through one-to-one counselling sessions and small group programmes, we equip students with practical skills to manage their emotions, build healthy relationships, and make responsible decisions. We also work closely with parents and teachers to ensure that every student receives the support they need to thrive holistically in school and in life
Through the school counselling programme, we seek to
support students in developing self-awareness and emotional management skills so that they can navigate life's challenges with confidence and resilience.
equip students with healthy relationship skills and responsible decision-making abilities that enable them to build positive connections with peers, family, and the wider community.

Education & Career Guidance(ECG) counselling
Our Education and Career Guidance (ECG) counsellor works with students to help them discover their strengths, interests, and values, so that they can make informed choices about their subject combinations, post-secondary pathways, and future careers. Through individual counselling sessions, group workshops, and career exploration activities, students are exposed to the wide range of education and career opportunities available to them beyond secondary school. We partner with parents to ensure that every student leaves Seng Kang Secondary with a clear sense of direction, the confidence to pursue their aspirations, and the resilience to adapt and grow as lifelong learners.
Through the school education and career counselling programme, we seek to
help students develop a strong sense of self-awareness — understanding their strengths, interests, and values — so that they can make informed and confident decisions about their education and career pathways.
broaden students' awareness of the diverse education and career opportunities available, empowering them to set meaningful goals and take ownership of their learning journey.
nurture in students the resilience and adaptability needed to navigate transitions and setbacks, fostering a lifelong love of learning and the motivation to continually grow in an ever-changing world.
